8th Grade Honors Science
Course Description
Welcome to 8th Grade Honors Science!
This is a science course taught with an inquiry-based approach. The instructor and curriculum facilitates inquiry-based learning in which students develop understanding of scientific concepts and the methods used by scientists to gather information, form hypotheses, conduct careful investigations, and communicate information in a variety of ways. Students will develop, apply and sharpen their inquiry and questioning abilities by performing a variety of investigations. Students will be expected to master the Next Generation Integrated 8th grade Science Standards by the end of the year. Students will be required to take Midterm and Final Assessments. Students will be required to maintain a scientific journal/notebook.
