About Me

Welcome to the O'Farrell High School's counseling page. I am on of the school counselors and my educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in History from The University of California at San Diego, a Masters in Education as well as School Counseling Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University, and a College Counseling Certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles. This is my tenth school year at O'Farrell and fourth working in the High School Counseling Department. I am looking forward to a great year and to assisting students with the development of their academics, career choices and personal/social well-being.

Please do not hesitate to contact with me with any questions you may have - I am happy to help.

Sending SAT Scores to UC's and CSU's

  • UC schools share scores across their system, so you only need to send to one UC and they will all share with each other.
  • To send to all CSU's, you must send to CSU Mentor. You can list CSUMentor as an SAT score recipient. The SAT institution code for CSUMentor is 3594. CSUMentor will then store your scores for ALL CSU campuses to utilize. If you have not yet sent your scores to either a CSU campus or CSUMentor, you can request this at www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/reg.html.
You can find more information about sending scores in your OCS College Counseling Guidebook on page 11.

An Admissions Representative from Santa Fe University of Art and Design (Santa Fe, New Mexico) will be visiting the counseling office on Thursday, October 20th at 2pm. This is a great opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with a representative from an Art and Design school if this is an area of study you are interested in. Please check-in with your Career Development Teacher, Ms. Crivello, Ms. K or Ms. Gilbert if you would like to stop by for a meeting. You will also need to get this brief meeting cleared with your 3A teacher.

NACAC PVA College Fair

On October 20th there will be a National Association for College Admissions Counseling College Fair for the Performing and Visual Arts. Please plan to attend this if this is an area of study you are interested in. You can ask Ms. Crivello, Career Development Teachers or Counselors.
Reminder: Thursday, October 20th at lunch an admissions representative from Seton Hall University will be on campus to speak with students. Please plan to stop by the counseling office during your lunch. Seton Hall is a private University located in New Jersey. Besides Financial Aid, they offer a variety of additional scholarships. You can view those scholarships here: Seton Hall University Scholarship Page
