Community Service Requirements
- Home: 4 hours
- School: 4 hours
- Community: 4 hours
Examples of community service:
Home: Helping around the house, mowing the lawn, cooking dinner, paint a wall, clean the oven, etc. In order to count for community service these must not be part of regular chores or anything that a student is paid for.
School: Cleaning a teacher's room, bringing supplies for a homebase disaster barrel, supplying a classroom with supplies (tissues, etc.), helping set up for an event, etc. Teachers will have many ideas on how to complete your school hours.
Community: Picking up trash in your neighborhood, babysitting for a neighbor, volunteering at a thrift store, volunteering for a community event or fundraiser, etc. Students should always check with parents first and parents should verify that the "community" community service was completed.
