Hi! I'm Ms. Kowalski, and I love being a teacher! I grew up in Chula Vista and attended college in Fullerton, CA. In between my years at Hope International University, I spent summers working at camps in all four corners of the US, and I even got to spend a semester studying abroad in Fiji. The early years of my teaching career took place in Malawi, Africa where I taught 6th grade. Those students are now attending colleges and universities around the world! Upon moving back to California, I taught at the local outdoor school as well as some traditional indoor schools. I'm thrilled to be a part of the O'Farrell Elementary School's fifth year, as well as O'Farrell's Extended Day program.
When I'm not working on behalf of my students, I enjoy spending time with my three nephews, being outdoors, reading, cooking, crafting, and trying new adventures. If I'm not volunteering to help build a home in Tijuana on a particular weekend, you'll likely find me riding my bike around town to explore a new park or sandwich shop.
As a third grade class, we will work very hard this year, and we'll have a great time along the way. Our class is a vibrant place where each person is valued, supported, and pushed to do more than they ever thought possible. We will achieve great things this year!
