This year, I am excited to be working with students in Kindergarten through 10th grade and will be on campus every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I spend my days working with small groups of students in my classroom (108a), running social groups, collaborating with teachers within their classrooms, and finding new and fun ways to improve my students' communication skills!
Here is a little about me:
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I completed my undergraduate degree at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Then, I attended Northwestern University and earned my Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Soon after graduating, my husband and I moved from the windy city to Sunny San Diego and have no plans to leave anytime soon!
Over the past three years at The O'Farrell Charter School, I have had the pleasure of working with an amazing bunch of students exhibiting a range of challenges in the following areas: expressive/receptive language , social language, articulation of speech sounds, fluency of speech, and voice quality.
In my spare time, you can find me hiking a mountain, exploring a new beach, reading a good book, watching movies or spending time with family!
I absolutely love what I do and welcome any questions/concerns via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
