Hi and welcome to The O'Farrell Charter School.  My name is Ms. Mathews and I am the Elementary Academy Principal.  I began teaching grades six and seven at O'Farrell in 2003 and am excited to be able to work with our elementary school students.  I received my BA in English from San Diego State University and my teaching credential from SDSU as well.  In 2013, I graduated from SDSU once again with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and an Administrative Services Credential with an emphasis in urban schools transformation. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Education and enjoy working at O'Farrell very much. I especially enjoy working with elementary school students because they have so much energy and excitement when it comes to learning and school.  In my spare time, when I am not at O'Farrell, I enjoy going to the theater, hiking and kayaking, and reading good books.
