Welcome back for the 2018-2019 school year!
I am excited to be an Academic Coach for The O'Farrell Charter High School as a Teacher on Special Assignment.
I was born and raised in San Diego (Scripps Ranch High School class of 2004), but left San Diego to attend college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. At Cal Poly I received my Bachelors in Science in Microbiology and then went on to complete my teaching credential. At Cal Poly I was a part of many clubs and organizations, one of which was Peer Health Educators. As a Peer Health Educator I became passionate about teaching others how to make healthy choices for themselves. I moved back to San Diego in 2010 to begin my teaching career at O'Farrell. I taught four years of middle school science at O'Farrell before moving to O'Farrell's high school. I am so proud to be a part of the O'Farrell community where I feel I can make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of our students.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband Matt, exercising (running, lifting, or yoga), trying new foods (and eating in general - especially yummy California burritos) and traveling! I am easiest to reach through email: firstname.lastname@example.org and welcome visitors to room 3020. Looking forward to a wonderful year!
