Community Resources
  • CalFresh provides extra money for groceries to help buy food while money is tight.

    • CalFresh provides grocery money on a debit-like card that can be used at grocery stores and farmers markets. 

    • Apply online at GetCalFresh.org, call 2-1-1, or with a local nonprofit: www.sdhunger.org/calfresh-assistance. You may also apply via phone at 866-262-9881.

    • The majority of people who are eligible for CalFresh (SNAP) are exempt from the Public Charge Rule**. 

    • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CalFresh recipients will automatically receive the maximum benefit for each month until further notice. 

    • Households with income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level may be eligible. 

 

Emergency Rental Assistance Program: The county of San Diego has created an Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Please visit this link for more information and for the eligibility and application information. Eligible applicants may receive up to $3,000 for assistance with rent payments.

O'Farrell Student Meal Distribution: Meals are being distributed Monday through Friday between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the school parking lot. Please have the student ID of each student that you are picking up meals for with you; the child does not have to be present.
