Workplace Violence Prevention Program

The mission of a workplace violence prevention program is to create a safe and respectful work environment by reducing the likelihood of violence and ensuring that incidents are taken seriously. The program aims to do this by:
  • Educating employees: Increasing awareness of the nature of workplace violence, how to recognize warning signs, and how to respond appropriately.
  • Involving management: Ensuring that management is committed to the program and that employees are involved.
  • Providing training: Offering safety and health training.
  • Analyzing the worksite: Identifying potential hazards and implementing controls to prevent them.
  • Keeping records: Maintaining records of incidents, complaints, and reports so that they can be evaluated and used to improve the program.
  • Supporting victims: Providing support and ensuring appropriate accountability measures are taken.
