About Me

Hello, my name is Aubrey Walford. I am so excited for the 2019-2020 school year, and to teach 8th Grade Homebase and English Language Arts, and 7th Grade AVID! I also am so thrilled to continue to expand our middle school cheerleading program!
I am a San Diego native, but when I graduated high school, I decided to move across the country to experience the seasons. I went to a small liberal arts college just outside of New York City called Manhattanville College where I studied English and English Education. During my time at Manhattanville, I was also able to build their cheerleading program, which was another one of my passions for almost my entire elementary and high school careers. After earning my bachelor's degree and credential, I moved to Chicago where I taught middle school ELA and coached the middle school cheerleading team for 3 years. During this time, I was able to work on and earn my Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University.
After 7 long winters, I decided it was time for me to move back home, which is what brought me to O'Farrell! Teaching at O'Farrell has been the highlight of my career thus far. My students inspire me, and I am so looking forward to continue watching them grow and achieve!
