Ms. Whittington

I believe that learning a new language lead every student to unforeseen opportunities, so I am very excited to teach Spanish/French and English Language Development for the 2020-2021 school year!

I was born and raised in Ecuador, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Educational Psychology. In 2000, I came to the United States, and in 2004 I completed my first master's degree in Special Education at Elon University, in North Carolina. My second master's degree in Language, Literacy, and Culture is from Adams State University, in Colorado. I also obtained a certificate in Advanced Education Leadership at Harvard University in 2018.

This is my fourth year at The O'Farrell, and  I am looking forward to keep motivating my students to become proficient bilingual students  as well as to introducing to them to new cultures and perspectives, while preparing them to compete in a globalized world.
