Ms. Ekdahl
Hello kindergarten families!
I am very excited to be your child's Year One kindergarten teacher this year! This is my second year at O'Farrell after working for a few charter schools in San Diego. I received my BA in elementary education, multiple subject teaching credential, and am currently working to complete my MA in teaching all from Point Loma Nazarene University!
Here are some fun facts about me:
- I grew up in Ventura County and moved to San Diego in 2005.
- Before my teaching career, I worked as a Director of Aquatics for the YMCA.
- I lived and studied art in Rome, Italy while I was in college.
- I have been a swim coach for 10 years.
- I love being near the ocean or going camping.
- My favorite animals are elephants and have traveled to Africa to see them in the wild.
- My favorite color is green.
- I try to eat healthy foods, but I LOVE chocolate!!
