Sports Conditioning

Course Description

 

The objective of Conditioning is to provide students with the knowledge and routines to live a healthy life. Students are taught proper technique and a variety of exercises. A typical day consists of a warm up run, stretching, a strenuous workout, and an opportunity for free play. Students are taught how to enjoy physical activity and exercises are modified to meet the needs and abilities of all students. Several times throughout the course students spend time in a classroom learning about the importance of proper nutrition and how to make healthy food choices. When students complete the course they should be able to design and implement fitness routines that meet their needs.
