6th Grade Social Studies 2A (Period 2A)

Overview: This year students will be learning and mastering the 6th grade World History and Geography state standards for Social Studies. This framework covers the people and events that ushered in the dawn of the major Western and non-Western ancient civilizations. Students will be learning about the history, geography, culture and religion of peoples from early humankind to the early civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Kush. They will also examine the civilizations of the Ancient Hebrews, India, China, Greece and Rome.
