School Safety

The safety and security of all of our students is our priority. In light of the recent incidents in Florida, all OCS staff have spent time this week to review our safety procedures in the event of an active shooter or other disruption on campus. The school also held a lockdown drill to practice our procedures. During a real emergency, parents or guardians will receive a notification via our automated dial-out system as soon as possible. If you have questions about our safety protocols, please visit the School Safety section of our website or contact your child’s homebase teacher.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s homebase teacher.

We were excited to welcome Ashanti Branch of The Ever Forward Club to OCS. Middle school students took part in the #100kMasks challenge and had the chance during homebase to identify their masks; both their internal and their external “masks” and the emotions that their masks may be hiding. The assembly was an opportunity to hear a powerful message from Mr. Branch of how self-reflection of our masks can help us have a deeper understanding of people we will encounter throughout life.
