Bio
Hello! My name is Tim Bleakley and I’m heading into my second year of teaching here at O’Farrell Charter High School. I have dual masters degrees in both writing and curriculum/instruction (from Columbia University and the University of San Diego, respectively). I teach three sections of 10th grade English Language Arts Honors, as well as electives in Creative Writing and Photojournalism. It is my goal to prepare each and every young person in my ELA classes to not only become inquisitive, confident and intellectually adventurous thinkers, but to also grow towards those qualities permeating throughout every facet of their lives. When I’m not studying or lesson planning, I enjoy playing soccer and guitar as often as I can, as well as cooking for my extended family on a weekly basis. Cheers to the 2020-2021 school year!
