About Our Class

Students will have Language Arts & Math every day with their Homebase teacher (which is me).
- Students will be rotating each week for Science, Social Studies, & Spanish/Technology.

- Ms. Estella will be teaching Social Studies.
- Ms. Tinsay will be teaching Science.
- I will be teaching Spanish/Typing.

- Students will be rotating each day for STEAM, P.E., & VAPA.

- Ms. Glenn will be teaching STEAM.
- Coach Lohner will be teaching P.E.
- Ms. Sanchez will be teaching VAPA.

- Students will have Homebase lessons at the end of the day and an hour lesson with one of our school counselors once a week.
- Students will be using Chromebooks in class. We will be using different online programs such as See-Saw, Boom Cards, Raz-Kids, Teach My Monster, and more.

- Students will receive a weekly homework packet every Monday and it will be due on Friday.
Homework will usually consist of:
- Reading a book for at least 20 minutes and answering a question independently on their reading log each night (M-TH)
- Practicing their math facts by completing math fluency problems
- Practicing their spelling, high-frequency, and vocabulary words
- Reading their weekly fluency passage each night
- Finishing any assignment not completed in class that day

If students follow the rules and show the Falcon Way, they can earn positive consequences:
However, if students do not follow the rules and do not show the Falcon Way, students will earn warnings as follows:
0/1: The student will receive verbal warnings.
2: The student will have their name written on the board.
3: The student will have a checkmark placed by name.
4: The student will receive a second checkmark and a referral.
(The student will then follow the school's progressive discipline plan and parents/guardians will be contacted.)

Donations are optional, but if you are interested in donating here is a list of items that we always need. Every donation is truly appreciated and will make a difference in our classroom. Donations will also count toward your child's community service hours.
